I am thrilled by these young children who made their way today to my etiquette class for Little Ambassadors. We do not only teach these children good manners and how to navigate with cutlery but also provide them with confidence building programmes, essential knowledge of soft skills by developmental stages (age groups) and character education!

I am also very proud of the parents who made the decision to send their children to a Youth Etiquette Class, congratulations! Why? We are living in a more and more uncivil and rude society. Youth are seldom taught soft skills and also not in schools as educators assume that these kids learn soft skills at home. By the time they leave school, 3/4 of the youth population, meaning 75% of the approximately 2 billion youth in the world  will not have developed these important skills. Consequently, the transition from classroom, university to the workplace becomes difficult, but also in their personal life.

Shouldn’t that be an alarm for all parents and educators?

As a Chinese Proverb says: ” A child’s life is like a piece of paper on which every passerby leaves a mark” . I hope we can all leave such positive significant marks on our children to help shape their character and personality.

Help your children grow in wisdom and stature…..
