Yesterday, I was invited to a special Business Seminar “ECOEUROPE Quality & Tradition” (European Organic Food) at The Mandarin Orchard Singapore.
The purpose of this seminar,
with its official guests such as your H.E. Michael Pulch (Ambassador of the European Union to Singapore), H.E. Zenon Kosiniak-Kamysz (Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to Singapore) and Bozena Wroblewska (President, Polish Chamber of Commerce Promotion Center),
was about giving knowledge and consciousness of organic crops, organic farms and organic food offered by the countries of the European Union.
The mission was to raise up awareness about the Quality in Organic Agriculture and Production, what organic really means and what it does for us consumers. We do not only ensure the ethical animal welfare but also protect our environment by having the knowledge which at the same time is consciousness…
What made this seminar special was not only the fact that there was a meaningful purpose behind it but also the possibility to taste all the organic products exported from Poland (Fruits, Vegetables, Pork, Beef, Poultry) as part of the seminar programme. The Chefs from Poland were not only presenting their beautifully decorated products but also demonstrated live cooking while the officials presented their talks and facts. Attendees experienced a unique taste of a six-course-menu accompanied by the special Chokeberry Juice (made out of Aroniow Berries – one of the healthiest fruit in the world) which was served quietly and smoothly that you did not realize the staff during the presentations of the officials. The seminar was ended with a glass of wine for all.
What I want to say is, as a Lifestyle and Etiquette Expert, what especially attracted my attention was the great working atmosphere within the organizers/colleagues, the warm, well-organized, smooth event with a very approachable and professional team behind the scene. There was polish and professionalism behind it, nothing stuffy or pretentious. The seminar was a perfect balance between purpose (Europeans and Singaporeans take food very seriously), facts, information and fun, from farm to plate!
I wish there will be more of such high-quality, professional approach and host-friendly seminars that was thoroughly planned and organized with Elegance and Ease. This is what I talk about in my workshops (How to entertain with Elegance and Ease), for either business or private occassion. The best way to make a positive first impression (in business and in private life) especially during first-time business encounters, which was the case here in Singapore, is to be very well prepared. It takes 20 years to build a reputation and five minutes to ruin it (Warren Buffet).
Well done Michael G. and thank you for letting me being part of this meaningful event – Do Widzenia!
With love,
Juliana
