As mentioned in the title, I had a very special encounter and conversation with the legendary Diane (dvf) this morning at the LASALLE College of the Arts.
Diane was accompanied by Steven Kolb, the CEO of the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) who led us through the talk/interview. Diane talked about her “journey” but also about her role as the President of CFDA and her role as a mentor for all young designers but mostly for women she wants to empower in whatever they do. She is celebrating her 40th Anniversary of DVF, an incredible time which she doesn´t regret. Her exhibition can be seen at ION.
To round up the end of the conversation, Diane mentioned Christian Lacroix who once said “Women make Clothes, Men make Costumes”.
